J Box drawing characters under X11
I am running j under X11 with either xterm or xwsh on Silicon Graphics.
X11 command xfd shows that common simple fonts (e.g. 7x14) have box drawing
char's as ascii char's 11 to 25 (decimal). However xterm did not display
char's less than 32 (' '), so this was not much use.
I had more succes using xwsh because this does display ascii char's 16 to 31,
although still not 11 to 15. So J command
(9!:7) 24 24 24 21 25 22 23 23 23 25 18 { a.
provides fairly nice boxes, but it would be nice to use the missing 5
char's (4 corners & cross (+)).
Does anyone have a solution? Should I post to an X11 newsgroup? If so which?
