User generated interupts for J under UNIX

Is there a way to provide for user generated interupts for
UNIX? Can this be done with Roger's utilities? If not
what has to be reset or reinitialized.

I think the utilities in io.c handle user generated interupts
for the PC only. Right?

Thanks,

Emmett
