current apl and good apl book

I did not see many postings for suggestions for a good current APL and
a good APL book.

Manugistics has an excellent introduction called "APL is Easy".

Iverson Software has an excellent APL interpreter for Windows.  It also
comes with a manual.  The price is very reasonable, too.

TryAPL2 from IBM is freeware and an good system as well.

I think all of this information is on the APL FAQ but I have not seen it
for a long time.  Perhaps my internet connection  does not give a
complete set of comp.lang.apl messages.  I do not know who sends out the
FAQ as I do not keep it.

I've used this book but I found it confusing.  The book "APL:  An
Interactive Approach" by Gilman & Rose was easy to understand, by comparison.
