To Bluetooth or not to Bluetooth

To Bluetooth or not to Bluetooth

Hello everyone,

Posting this in the hope someone has used Bluetooth
before. The question is, are there any API or SDKs out
there that work with Bluetooth on windows CE? Neither eVb
or eVc 3.0 seem to have support for Bluetooth as standard.
Has anyone ever developed software that interacts with a
Bluetooth mobile phone? (e.g. dialling numbers from a
Pocket PC, or Pocket PC registering incoming calls to the
obile phone?)

Any pointers or directions to an SDK or API would be most
welcome, as there seem to be none at the MSDN site.

Regards,
Hugo

Bluetooth is not yet part of the Pocket PC per se. It is available in
some of the iPAQ units and there are third party cards for other
units. You would need to talk to the card vendor for SDK information.
Someday when Pocket PC is upgraded to Windows CE.NET Bluetooth support
will be part of the OS and a standard SDK API set will exist for all
devices. Until then you have to live with things as they are.

For the Bluetooth enabled iPAQ, the reference SDK is from Widcomm
