Problems with eVB on Windows XP Pro?

Does anyone have eVB successfully running on Windows XP Professional? We are
receiving the following message:

Visual Basic was not able to start up due to an invalid system
configuration.

We have been running it successfully on several Windows 2000 Professional
systems for some time and just made the move to Windows XP.

Thank you

Problems with eVB on Windows XP Pro?
Hey Jim,

I think that this problem is usually related to registry privileges on the
system.

You might try logging in as the admin account and run Regedt32.  Select the
HKCR\TypeLib key, then select Permissions from the Edit menu.  Ensure that
the proper users have full control to the registry key.

If this doesn't help, you might consider checking out RegMon (perhaps also
FileMon) from http://www.sysinternals.com.  These utilities can help you
track down which files/registry values are being accessed when the error
occurs.

hope this helps,
-mike
