Hello,

I have two HP Jornada 720, in one of them I can run every program I do in
EVB. The other one give always the message :
"The targeted plataform does not match the device currently connected to
your system....etc"
Well I'm using the same dockstation, both Jornada are StrongArm SA1110, both
have Core System Version 3.0 and the same memory. Why does the first one
works and the second doesn't ?
Please somebody help me. I have no ideas anymore.
PS: Both have their registers altered to introduce the Plataform key

Thank you all

Hello,

just had the same problem. After crashing my OP
with some API's soft resetting it and the bastard
(Jornada 720) did not connect anymore in eVB. So, after
long try and error I resetted the devices by
pressing the reset button for about 10 seconds and
it worked again. But this could be a hardware
problem on this special device, on the other
devices (all Jornada 720) I do not have this problem.

Maybe this helps

After setting the Platform ID keys in the registry, you did a soft reset of
each device?

Have you double-checked that the PlatformGUID value in the ebp file (when
opened via NotePad) matches the Platform ID key on each device?

Have you tried (if it's an option) hard-resetting the problematic device?

Hello, Michael...

Following your suggestions I checked all those items and I've perceived
this difference in PlatformGUID value on the ebp file open via Notepad:
Type=Exe
PlatformGUID={0F9D255B-97DA-4641-A8E6-7A7411D2472F}
and
the Plataform ID Key that is registered in the device ( Windows CE Tools)
is:
Plataform  = {0F9D255B-97DA-4641-A8E6-7A7411D24727}

What I have to do ?

Thank you very much

 Well, I've changed the Plataform ID key in the device to match that one of
the plataform GUID and it Works....!!
Thank you very much.
Is there a lot of people with this problem in evb list too. I will help them
( give the credits to you, of course...)

 Well, now I've got my fourth Jornada where the PlataformGUID is the same as
the
 Plataform ID key... I've hard-reset the device ( many times ) and EVB
doesn't get to
 communicate with it..."Target plataform does not match..." message again.
