How can I produce a rtf-file that can be read by the MS help workshop?

Using "Write" I can't produe foot notes as reqired for the links and there
are no page breaks.
Using "Word" the files is said to be corrupted.

Is there a good editor? Or is sth going very wrong?

I strongly favor help authoring tools like ForeHelp or RoboHelp. One
very short help file using those weird footnote notations convinced me
that this is not something I ever wanted to do again.

    The Word 6/95 is quite well as my practice showes.
But you'll lose not one day hookink niceties of tags and hidden
directives generating a hill of errors.
If you don't want to care it, write your help on htm. It's many faster
and
much more comfortable, especially hyperlinks.
