Problems running MDI app on w2k,se platform, works fine on 95, 98, NT4 (wks, see)

Hi all,

The solution to my problem must be stupidly simple, but ... grmm
I build an MDI application with a bunch of DLLs supporting this
application, now i have some serious problems running this app on Win2K
and W98SE, W2KRC2 works just fine, as NT4 wks and SEE do. No error
messages are shown, no exceptions thrown, the application does start on
2k and win98se but exits even before showing any window. Though the
application is shown in the task manager and runs for about 2 sec. the
oninit function in CBlablaApp is not called.

Can anyone please help me?

regards

daniel

Does it still happen with a debug build? Anyway, run it with BugTrapper
(www.mutek.com) and it'll help

thanks for the advise, but: the problems exist in both release and debug
builds, i downloaded mutek an tried it, but no errors of any kind were shown.
The weird thing is, if i install VC on a w98se and compile the app runs
perfectly, but these builds do not run on NT4 etc. so it might just be a
compiler option or environment var specifying not to run (...).
Running a debug build on NT4 wks on a win98se with de{*filter*} installed shows
the framework fails to query xMonitorSupport function, returns false and
exists without any exceptions or errors of any kind.

i'm confused - any one?
