 Text-to-Speech

Hi

I want to know how can i save a text file to a realaudio file.[after
converting it to speech]

its like if i pass a text file to what ever the method it'll convert it to
voice[text to speech] and then save the file to a realaudio or some other
wav format so  i can use it later..

have anyone done this before or, know how to do?

regards

Hi,

You can try Microsoft Agents (visit www.microsoft.com/msagent), it includes
a Text To Speech engine. Then record it to your disk by using a wave editor,
I recommand CoolEdit, a shareware version is availeble at
http://www.syntrillium.com. I don't know if CoolEdit supports RealAudio, but
you can try it...

first worry about writing regular wav files, the real audio compression
codec is a whole nudder ball game - and you may not be able to do with
buying a licence from those real wa*kers (you do know there client sends all
maner of personal data from your machine to there server?)

better idea would be to wav, then mp3 it - if it for the web, mp3 has some
very good low bitrates that work great for plain speach.

as to getting the speach in the first place - see the other speachy related
threads (not that that will give you an answer!)
