Several times (at least 4) now vc 5.0 has crashed so badly that it
requires a complete reinstall.  I've gotten 2 kinds of behavior after a
crash:

1.  It won't even start up, complaining about "DEVRES" being missing,
whatever that is.  
2.  Saving a file immediately crashes.

These crashes occur about every couple days of use.

Is this just me, or is this happening to others?  My machine is
otherwise dependable, so I'd like to fault Microsoft.  But then
again, who needs excuses?
