 should I upgrade to 5.0 from 4.0

I bought Visual C++ 4.0 pro about a year ago and just opened it up with
the intention of learning it.  Went to the bookstore and lo and behold,
5.0 is out.

Is it worth my trouble to learn 4.0 or should I just bite the bullet and
get the upgrade?

Any thoughts on this? It's not crucial that I be up-to-date on this
stuff but am I missing
out on alot of new stuff that I should know about? I'd rather find out
now before I put the effort into learning 4.0

Thanks

I do not believe that if you are a beginner that it will make a big
difference in buying 5.0. In terms of interface, etc. I think it is
still OK to start with 4.0.
