Mark,

Check your Windows directory for a DOSPRMPT.PIF file.  If it exists,
try renaming it.  You may want to do the same for DEFAULT.PIF (it might
start with an underline).

I noticed recently that whenever I begin compiling, my screen flips into
full screen character mode.  When I press ALT+ENTER I can reduce these
applications to windows and then minimize them.  This is driving me insance.
Why can I see these programs at all?  I use VC++ 5.0 on two other systems
and I don't have this problem.  Is there setting somewhere to change this?
I shouldn't even be able to see the apps run on the taskbar.

Thanks in advance,
Mark Schmidt
