A friend of me (really) is having problems using Visual C++ 5.0.  He
claims it takes forever to build his project in 5.0, lots of disk
rattling, so he added more memory.  He claims that this was not a
problem in 4.2.  He is also blowing up in the de{*filter*} under 5.0, (not
in his code) and again he claims he had no problem using 4.2.  He
asked me if there were any service packs for 5.0 and I noticed that
there have been many threads about the SP.  Where do you get the SP
for 5.0 and what problems did it fix? And is 5.0 also more of a
resource hog than 4.2 ?
