 How to profile a DLL?

Hi,

I am having trouble profiling a DLL.  I have followed the instructions in
the Help and have
used the following batch file to do the profiling:-

COPY %1.dll save
PREP /OM %1.dll
COPY %1._ll %1.dll
PROFILE /I %1 /O %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6
COPY save %1.dll
PREP /M %1
PLIST %1

But all I get in the results is this :-

Profile: Function timing, sorted by time
Date:    Wed Nov 25 11:01:10 1998

Program Statistics
------------------
Command line at 1998 Nov 25 10:57: softc
    Total time: 56238.125 millisecond
Time outside of functions: 55854.875 millisecond
    Call depth: 1
    Total functions: 782
    Total hits: 476283
    Function coverage: 0.1%
    Overhead Calculated 6
    Overhead Average 6

Module Statistics for scplus32.dll
----------------------------------
    Time in module: 383.249 millisecond
Percent of time in module: 100.0%
    Functions in module: 782
    Hits in module: 476283
    Module function coverage: 0.1%

        Func          Func+Child           Hit
Time   %         Time      %      Count  Function
---------------------------------------------------------
     383.249 100.0      383.249 100.0   476283 CObject::AssertValid(void)
(mfc42d.dll)

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Please cc by email in case I miss the news.

Do you have profiling enabled in your linker options?
