 Help Please - Identifying Process Threads

Context Win NT4 SP6a

We have a customer who is getting an extended CPU spike in one of
our threads in our release product.

When they use the "Performance Monitor" a particular thread ID is shown
(e.g. 11)

Yet when you use Spy, the thread IDs are nothing like the Performance
Monitor number.

e.g 0xdc etc.
