 different results between Debug/Release builds

I am running VC++ 5.0.

Has anyone experienced different results in running the identical code when the
only difference is that it is built for Debug or Release?  In this case, the
Release build works as expected.  But the Debug build stops with an error.  I
thought it was more likely to be the opposite of this.

Any suggestions to evaluate this type of error?

hi Wardjudson.

>Any suggestions to evaluate this type of error?

debug builds have (at least in mfc/rtl code) additional
code that checks for errors in the form of assertions.
these are not bound to make your ap hang in release
builds, but are significant problems nonetheless.

the idea is to use the de{*filter*} to check out the
cause for the assertion that you get.
