 sending ' character to MS SQL server

Does anybody know how to send ' characters as paramters to stored procedures
for MS SQL Server,

I guess Im looking for some kind of special escape code.

Try to replace each ' with '' and see what happens!

Yes that works fine,

but does this mean you can't store   '   characters in SQLServer?
