 COM_INTERFACE_ENTRY_IMPL obsolete?

Is COM_INTERFACE_ENTRY_IMPL macro really obsolete (according to MSDN)?

I am maintaining someone else's code and I've stumbled upon the
following piece of code:

BEGIN_COM_MAP(CSomeClass)
        //...
        COM_INTERFACE_ENTRY(IConnectionPointContainer)
        COM_INTERFACE_ENTRY_IMPL(IConnectionPointContainer)
        //...
END_COM_MAP()

Can the whole line be safely zapped?

Thanks!
