Will the NetSessionEnum and NetSessionGetInfo APIs do (NT only)??

  Windows NT,

  is there a API related to finding out the client connection status? that is,
  how can i find out if a client machine is connected or not. the status should
  be reflected within 0.5 sec. any web site or article will be appreciated also.
