What is the API  to see if a CD is MEDIA or DATA??

You can do this by checking to see if there are CDA files located on a
drive. You can do this with the DIR function. I don't think a person would
put a blank CD either unless they have a CD-Writer but it would be
concidered DATA if they do. Also, beware that it could be both, such as the
case in Bill Gates _The Road Ahead_  book which is both MEDIA and DATA.

Thanks for your reply. That was the way I was doing it, but I thought there was
an API to be sure of it.
