Seeing if I am connected

 Seeing if I am connected

I am writing a small program in VB 4.0 to measure the amount of time I am
connected to the internet for, and need a way of seeing if the modem is
currently connected. Is this possible using the Winsock API's, or is there
a better way. I have tried using FindWindow to see if the Connected d.box
is visible, but the title bar of this changes with a different connection.
Any ideas?

P.S. Please mail me directly, as I am not likely to return to this
newsgroup.
