does anyone have any examples of the required API calls to utilize the .PWL
file for storing and retrieving passwords?

You can download a full working demo screensaver project (into which you
can put your own code for the actual graphics etc) from

It does passwords, ctl-alt-del, thumbnail preview, the whole works.
Don Bradner and I created it because of all the interesting undocumented
stuff we had to figure out to do it.

The passwords (using functions in password.cpl) were one of the hardest to
find: if someone hadn't posted some code here, we might never have gotten
it.  Check it out.
