 Recorset.Filter using wildcards against an Access DB

Hi All,

I get the following error when I try to filter a Recordset based on multiple
like Wildcards.

IE:

Recordset.filter = "FName LIKE '" & txtfname.text & "*'" & " And LNAME Like
'*';"

But...this works...
Recordset.filter = "FName LIKE '" & txtfname.text & "*';"

When I open MS Access (version 2000) and apply a filter to a "select *"
query this operation works fine..

Please help, the frustration is setting in :)

Thanks in Advance

Brian

PS: The error message is...
Run-time error '3001':
Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are
in conflict with one another.

Hi,
     Oops! A recordset filter can't filter on multiple columns :-(

Oops! You are mistaken. The Filter property allows for multiple clauses
separated by AND or OR. You must be thinking of the .Find method
