 DAO 3.6 and DAO 3.5

Hi,

How do I solve this problem?

2 backend databases:
       1 Access 2000 (Using DAO 3.6 )
       2 Foxpro (Using DAO 3.51)

Frontend  VB 6.0

How do I access 2 dbs at sametime????

I appreciate any HELP!!!!

Thanks,

Henry

One word: ODBC (arrgghhh!!!!).

OTOH, have you tested?  Seems to me off the top of my head that DAO 3.6
should handle both database types....

Yes, I did tested. DAO works for Access 2000 but not for MS FoxPro.

Thanks for help.

Did you try setting up the Foxpro database as an attached Access
table?  I haven't done this with late releases but I did it fairly
regularly with earlier versions.

Just attach the Foxpro database to an MDB file, then treat it as
another table in the Access MDB..

Dunno why that wouldn't work in the current releases unless they broke
it somewhere along the way.

Let us know if this is what you tried.
