Jack Dol #1 / 2	vb screensaver dde error 282 under nt4 I am trying to develop a screen saver that talks via dde to another application. This is under NT4SP4, vb5 sp3. I can connect properly when I run the application in the ide but when I compile as a screen saver, I get the error: "No foreign application responded to a DDE initiate (Error 282)" In either case I am logged in to the same administrator account. In WinNT, screensavers are an intimate part of the security apparatus: they run on their very own desktop, and have no access whatsoever to any other running programs.
