I have this problem - I am not able to backup the registry on our W2k Server
SP 4. The check box to choose registry is not working and if I try to backup
the system state, It will fail on registry access:

ERROR: You do not have permission to access portions of System State \
Registry \ software.
Contact the owner or administrator to get permission.
Warning: Unable to open the file \ Registry \ software - skipped.

The user is member of administrators, but none of users is able to do the
backup.

Together with this is in eventlog this message:

Security policies are propagated with warning. 0x534: No mapping between
account names and security IDs was not done.

and in logon log is this (for Authenticated Users and everyone too):

Configuring Authenticated Users.
Error 1332: No mapping between account names and security IDs was not done.
  Can not find Authenticated Users

Could anybody help me how to solve this issue?

Look for groups with "2000" in their name. This group is for a product
called Visual Basic.
