 [ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired

Hi,

On our site, once in a while we get "[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]
Timeout expired" error. I noticed that the error happens only after
long periods of inactivity (no hits) on our web server(e.g., 1 hour or
more) and it does not really matter how "heavy" the query is (on one of
the pages we have a single query that returns 3 records (20 fields
each) from a SQL Server 7.0 table with 160 records. After I
hit "reload" button the error goes away and everything works fine until
the next long period of inactivity. Also, we are getting this error on
only one of our test servers (hosted by another company); the other
server is working just fine (hosted by us). And this problem has just
started to appear about a week ago (after a month of smooth running).
I am trying to figure out what changes the hosting company has done to
the server during the last 10 days or so - but this appears to be a
slow process.

We are using Windows 2000 Advanced Server, ASP, IIS 5.0, SQL Server
7.0, ADO 2.5, VB 6.0 COM objects, COM + (MTS).

TIA,

Tea
