Visual Modeler 1.1 slow in reverse engineering

Hi everyone,

1. I am using VM 1.1 and VB 5 Enterprise with SP3 on NT 4.0 with SP3
2. Currently I am trying to reverse engineer one project with 4 modules and
32 forms.  For a particular form, it took more than 5 hours to run on a
Pentium 166 with 40M RAM(as of this message is being composed).  Since the
VB5.exe is still running, therefore I do not kill these processes.   Anyone
have any explanations?   Is it normal?

Thank you in advance

Difficult to say as it may depend on the structure of your app. But
given that I RE'd a project with 7 classes, 2 modules and 2 forms
in under 10 minutes on a 50MHz 486 / 32Mb, I suspect foul play. It
seems that the forms take the most time, I should confirm. But 5
hours? Nah.

It is taking far too long - I would have thought 5-10 minutes.

An outside chance of giving it a kick start is to use the task manager to
change the priority for the vb5.exe process (right click on the process and
set the priority to high or real-time.) This might work - on the other hand
it might crash your PC. However after 5 hours I would give it a try.
