Wrong version of runtime dll (IN VB4?)
my problem:
since A few days ago my vb4 programs won't startup.
The funny thing about this problem is that my friend
(also a vb4 users) had the same problem at the same time ...
(excuse me for my bad english - I am just a dutch student you know !)
the error message is: Wrong version of runtime dll
(I've tried the product support of microsoft :
http://www.microsoft.com/kb/articles/q112/7/70.htm)
but -> there the error has something to do with vb3,
while my programs are made with vb4 (pro)
I've checked the help file of vb4 , and there I saw that
the problem is a file called vbrun400.dll -> I've tried to
find this file on the www , and there I figured out that that
file doesn't exist (this time it's the file vb40032.dll I think)
So I checked the file vb40032.dll inthe system dir (and I found him)
I also checked earlyer versions of the file, (vbrun300.dll,vbrun200.dll)
there was a vbrun300.dll , so I deleted that file (I still have a
backup ofcourse)
Still no working programs, so I tried to reinstall vb4 ,
afther install still no working programs
I've downloaded all the needed files for running vb4 programs
(vb40032.dll,vb40016.dll,...) OFCOURsE still no working programs
(Afther kicking my computer and yelling BILL GATES S*CK : still no
working programs - now I got a broken keyboard - some non working
importand vb4 - exe files AND a windows95 full of errors each day:
The reason: MICROSOFT, Where do you wan't to go TODAY ?
HELL ! its a better place then in microsoft products I guess

(ps. don't think I am stupid,I know how to fix the most errors -> I work
with windows95 for almost 2 years You know !!! (ofcourse I already had
to reinstall win95 for about 5 times until now)
