VB Enterprise - SP3 Bombs!

 VB Enterprise - SP3 Bombs!

We've been using VB 5 Enterprise for quite awhile now with no problems.
We just installed Service Pack 3 for VB and it isn't pretty.

Our biggest problem is that we cannot load VB components into MTS!  We get
an error like:

"One or more DLL's appear to be corrupt.  Either a DLL threw an exception
during install process or the DLL and its embedded type Library are out of
sync....."

I had heard the SP2 had some problems with binary compatibility but I
thought that was fixed in SP3.   What else could it be?

This is repeatable behavior.  If we reinstall VB5....everything works great.
Install SP3...it bombs everytime.

Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks in advance!

 VB Enterprise - SP3 Bombs!
When I installed SP3 over VB5 on my PC, the IDE would not load until I
re-installed VB5.  I think this is what we are supposed to do, though I
haven't read it anywhere.

My VB5 installation still says "SP3" in the splash screen during load
up, so I guess that the new versions are still in place.  It seems that
once SP3 is applied you need to re-install your development platform(s)
to set up the registry properly.
