 Playing back MPG video files

We are getting ready to distribute software for children that relies heavily
on video. I have used the MMControl for now to play the MPG video files we
have created, but it's a little quirky and I would rather use something more
stable. I tried the Windows Media Player control at first, but found out
that we can't redistribute that (it's not listed in the redist.txt file).

Does anyone have a good way to play back MPG files that we can distribute
legally??

Thanks in advance,
-David

Think, the mpeg-1 or at least mpeg-2 it is not a free format :-(. You can
use divx ;-) if you computer is enought fast and without paid for this!.
Media player is free and you can redistribute! (there are some mplayer
resdistribute pack?)

I think that you can, check out the Microsoft website under mediaplayer
to find out.

Check out the Software Developers Kit which you can download
for free and which will put an ActiveX control for Mplayer into
your project with a few better controls and function in it.
