Recordset without connection
No problem:
'Create a new recordset object (Client side cursor)
Dim rs As ADODB.Recordset
Set rs = New ADODB.Recordset
rs.CursorLocation = adUseClient
'Add some fields (A field called "Field1Name" which is VarChar 20 characters
rs.Fields.Append "Field1Name", adVarChar, 20, adFldMayBeNull
'Open the recordset
rs.Open
'Add a record
rs.Addnew
'Populate the field
rs!Field1Name.Value = "HELLO WORLD"
'Update the recordset
rs.Update
'Now you can navigate, and use function like Find and Filter to manipulate
the recrds
rs.Find "Field1Name='HELLO WORLD'"
rs.Filter = "Field1Name='HELLO WORLD'"
