How to use ADO Data Control to connect ot Oracle 8 Database

I have Oracle 8 Personal Edition and VB6. I want to conduct a simple
experiment where I connect to the default 'Local Database' by using an ADO
Data Control and some databound text boxes to display data. I can't seem to
get the 'connect string' property of the ADO Data Control to work. It asks
for a 'server name' in the wizard dialogu box and I have no idea what it
needs. HELP PLEASE!!
