Hi,

If you are using Jet.4.0 provider, then you can open both
97 and 2000 database. With Jet.3.51 you cannot open 2000.
If you cannot open 97 database with Jet. 4.0 then probably
problem is in another place

How to insert AutoIncrement column with Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.3.51

Hello Val Mazur

I think what Jaime means is that you cannot create a database with vb and
4.0 provider and be able to open it and change it with Access 97. Jet 4.0
creates the database with Access2000 format.

But this is not the point, but "How to insert AutoIncrement column with
Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.3.51"

Best Regards
