I am trying to work with Access 2000 and Visual Basic 6.0.
When I goto open an Access 2000 database using Visual Data Manager Add-In it
gives me a messaage saying incompatible database. I look at errors
collection, it shows:
ADO.workspace                 unrecognized database format.

I installed MDAC 2.1 and then installed Visual Studio 6.0 service Pack 3.

It still does'nt work. I have uninstalled VS 6.0 then reinstalled then
applied the MDAC and Service Pack updates. This has not worked.

Would someone know the solution to this and step me in the  right direction.

As Andrew mentioned it doesn't support Access 2000 database files, but the
project and source code is available and can be easily fixed:
