 Need advice on Security - VB6 ADO 2.5 - jet 4

Hi all,

What measures need to be adopted to keep unauthorised people from opening a
mdb file that has been created on the fly from VB, can I simply put an
encrypted pw in? what about all these access password sniffer progs?

How does .mde ext fit into the picture?
It is *very* important to make sure the data is not accessed anywhere but
through application login.

Any advice about high security would be most appreciated.
bye the way, it is a 1 user app only, not concerned with multiple users for
this one.
Thankyou
Howard.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question.  As far as I know, there is no
real way to keep hackers out if they want to get in bad enough.  A pw
is the only way I know of.

Could you answer a question for me?  The .mdb you created--is it Jet
4.0?  If so, how did you create it on the fly?
