Verion Conflict?

 Verion Conflict?

I'm just wondering if anyone understands the version numbering system that
Microsoft is using, or is everyone as confused as I am?

Version Conflict Manager in Win98 reports Msjet35.dll version 3.51.0623.4,
dated 4/24/98 in the system directory.

It lists the original version that installed with Win98 as 3.50, dated
5/11/98.

I know that 3.51 is the current revision of this dll, but why is it dated
older than the original?

Also, I have a Msjet35.cab file in my system directory, and that contains a
version # 3.51.0623.4, but dated 5/31/98.

Where did this one come from?
