Check around the campus for anyone using ESRI software. They may have a CD
set named "ESRI Data & Maps". CD1 has a dbf of US cities.

 Database list of US Cities
Simply to put in a table to Auto populate a text box with the correct City
Name as the user types,
Willn't allow misspelled city names.

thanks

http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form

1) SELECT A STATE
2) ENTER YOUR POPULATIONS 100 - 99999999

This will take a bit but it's all here for the taking. Should be around
15000 - 20000 depending on your population sizes. Just cut and PASTE

Another alternative depending on your needs for up to date info is to
subscribe to the US Postal Service zip code database. They come out with a
monthly update of all the City, State, Zips in a convenient cd from which
you can extract the cities you need. You'd be surprised how much the zip
codes and even cities fluctuate from year to year as new ones are
incorporated, others merge, still others disappear (your classic ghost
towns).

Good luck,
