As Access databases (*.mdb) tend to get bigger and bigger, Access itself as a feature that compresses the database. What does this feature do? Is this an integral part of the JET engine or is it just a "SELECT * INTO xyz FROM abc" ?

Actually it makes a copy of the current database without deleted records...
