which backend to choose Access 97 or SQL?
For your school project i think you will only need Jet 3.5 (Access 97)
Microsoft SQL Server is probably overkill and you will need to have an NT
server for it to run on. Unless you have a project with over 100meg in of
data, you don't need to run SQL server, Jet will work just fine.
