Has anyone else been able to solve this?
When I add a new Data-Link in the Data-View window,  and then choose the
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle, I fill in the Connection tab and click
on 'Test Connection' and it says "Test connection succeeded", but then when
I go to the Advanced Tab all the options are greyed out(unavailable). If I
then Click on 'OK' , and then try to expand the created Data-Link it says
"Unable To establish a connection. Please ensure that the Connection
properties for 'DataLinkName' are correct and that the source is available.
Method '~' of object '~' failed."

(If I create a Data-Link using the MS OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers and
select a DSN created using either the Microsoft or Oracle ODBC Driver for
Oracle then these both work. Should I be using one of these, and if so which
one works better from within VB????)

I'm Using VB6 Enterprise (sp3) on NT 4.0(sp5) connecting to Oracle 8i on
Unix.

I have heard bad things about the Native Oracle Provider. My understanding
is that currently it is a really good idea to use the OLEDB provider for
ODBC Drivers to access ORACLE.

However, I am NOT an ORACLE developer, I am a VB/SQL Server guy....
