 Using a Data Control in VB5 accessing a user-level secure Access 97 DB

I am using VB5 to access a secure database created in Access 97. Using
the Connect line does not work in this instance. Is there another way
to access this database using the data control. I need the control
because I am using Crystal Reports to read the data returned by the
data control.
