is there a way to test whether a column does exist or not ? (urgent)

Hi
I build my reports from an access database and the number of columns can
vary from an execution to another.
Is there anyway to test whether a column does exist or not ?
Any help will be appreciated
Regards
Christine

I think better would be to put column names in array and check in crystal
report if array is empty or has value.
