 Crystal Truncates My VarChar to 255 Chars

Let me first say that I'm very new at Crystal Reports.

I just started building my first report, and Crystal is truncating a
varchar(8000) to 255 characters...thus only preventing my report from
displaying the correct results.

I'm sure this is a simple one...thanks for your help
