 Summarising data from sub-reports in Crystal Reports Pro 5.0

The later revisions to CR5 (5..108 patch & subpatches) introduced
StoreNumberVar() and FetchNumberVar()
 - haven't tried these myself but they do sound as though what is
needed. See the Seagate KB and download area. Others on this
ng have commented they are "unreliable".

 Summarising data from sub-reports in Crystal Reports Pro 5.0

Hi,

I am writing a complicated report, which has 5 sub-reports.

I want to extract values from formulas within the sub-reports to
appear in the main detail of the report.

Has anyone done this before?

When I phoned Crystal support help, they suggested that I use UFL's (e.g.
write my own)
surely there must be a better way.

Regards

Graham Parker.
