 Diary field is truncated when previewing a Crystal Reports 8.5

When a try to preview a report (made with Crystal Reports 8.5.2.718) a
diary field is truncated at the 1000th character.
I've already applied the file update CR85MAIN.ZIP (see article ID
c2010875 in support.crystaldecisions.com) but it didn't solve the
problem.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
