 CR8 & XP & NT Deployment problems

I have a VB6 application that if I try to install on a NT computer causes it
to lock up when you reboot the computer after updating files.

I think what is causing the problem is Crystal is trying to distribute files
from my XP development computer to the NT machine (MFC42.DLL etc).  These
are in the added to the package when I add the Crystal component to the
project.

How can I stop this or would I be better in upgrading to version 8.5 ?

Hope someone can help, or will have to revert back to Windows 2000 for it
worked perfectly then.

Some files like MFC42.DLL already exist on NT computers so you should
not include those in the installation package created on an XP
computer because they are being replace in the installation process.

You should try building packages for each os.

I hope it helps solve the problem
