Office XP, VB6 and Crystal Reports 4.6.1

I am currently running Windows and Office XP with VB6.
I am trying to use the Crystal Report freebee that comes with VB6
professional.
When it comes to my database file from within the Crystal Reports package, I
get an error message stating "invalid database type".
Can someone please point me in the right direction to resolve this problem.

Hi, when i tried to use Access 2000 or Excel 2000 with Crystal Reports, i
needed an update, so, in your case, it might be possible too, but i guess
that CR 4.61 has not this kind of patch. If i find something, i wrote....
right?
