is this a real crystal reports tool or a sears crystal reports tool?

Hi,

Sorry about paraphrasing Frank Zappa, but is the version of crystal
reports that comes packaged with VS.Net the same as the one I'd be using
had I purchased it from Crystal Decisions?  The reason I'm asking is
because I'm trying to follow along with the book by David McAmis
entitled "Crystal Reports - A Beginners Guide" and there is a lot of
disconnect between what the book says you can do and what vis studio
will let me do.

Thanks
Phil

I believe VS .NET is bundled with Crsytal Reports Standard (not Professional
or Developer Edition).

I believe vs.net contains 8.0 and not 8.5, is that correct?
Thanks

Not sure.  Given the timing of .NET and Crystal Reports I'd hope it was
v8.5.  Anyone else here know for sure?

BTW, Crystal Reports v9.0 is just around the corner and looks pretty
amazing.
