Hello,

I have created a report in Crystal. As the report needs to accomodate
many columns, I have changed the 'orientation' in 'Print Setup' to
landscape. I then used the 'Report Distribution Expert' in Crystal to
distribute this report over the network.

The report had been distributed successfully. However when the other
users access this report, the orientation changes to 'portrait'. Also
this happens inconsistently. What could the problem be?

Regards,
Rocklyn.

Thought I'll mention that I am using Crystal 7.0. Does anyone have any ideas please?

Depends on what their default printer is -
If it is the same as the repor designer, then the printer will remember
Landscape
If they can't see the designers printer they will revert to the settings of
their local default printer.

Sometimes it can be useful to set up a  second printer (same as the
original, but landscape as a default) so they select that printer for their
report.

Thanks Bruce. That seems to be working. Also with the same question,
When one of the other users tries to access the executable file for a
report, it comes up with an ODBC error "[Oracle][ODBC][ora]ORA-00928
Missing Select Keyword". The user does have a DSN (for Oracle ODBC
Driver) created like all the other users and its strange that he gets
this error.

Any comments on this please?

Check what version of the Oracle clients he is using.  Sounds like a problem
down there.
